Condition:             
This Valiant fountain pen is in very nice condition.  The pen has excellent pastel green coloring, a Triumph 14kt two-tone gold nib with platinum mask, a gold-filled clip and 3/8" wide gold-filled cap band. Similarly, the matching mechanical pencil  also has a gold-filled clip and 3/8" wide gold-filled cap band.  Both have minimal wear and a hint of some micro surface scratches.  Both clips are firm and in excellent condition, as are the 'white dots and cap bands.  Both have names imprinted on their barrels, as shown. The pen's ink sac has been replaced, as have the barrel o-ring and point gasket.  The pen has been water tested and it fills nicely.  The pencil advances and retracts the lead, as designed.  The pencil has a new eraser and is loaded with lead.  The pen and pencil set ships in an original Sheaffer presentation box, the box is in overall good vintage condition, as shown. A Sheaffer tin with some extra lead is included with the set.
