Condition:
This sterling silver mechanical pencil is in nice condition with a neat chased wavy line pattern running the length of the barrel, there are no cracks or personalization. The pencil body has some minor scratches and tarnish. The clip is firm with a crisp imprint indicating the patent is pending. Based on research, the pencil received its patent in 1915, with later models indicating such. This is an early version of the "Magazine" pencil. The nose cone imprint has a bit of wear. The nose cone is rotated to loosen and expose more lead, it is then tightened to hold the lead in place, essentially a lead holder. There is a small piece of the oversized lead in the pencil.
