Condition:
This first generation The Skywriter fountain pen is in overall nice condition with rich, bright brown pearl coloring, with striated lines, an "ink gauge" section and no cracks or personalization. The barrel and cap have some light wear. The pen barrel imprint reads THE SKYWRITER over AIKEN LAMBERT over Made in USA by over LE WATERMAN CO., there is a small nic in the imprint, as shown in the photo. The cap has a firm clip, the clip, cap band and lever have some typical brassing, as is common for nickel plated pens. The pen has been cleaned, a new ink sac has also been installed and the pen has been ink tested. This lovely pen is ready to use. The last photo shows the vintage advertising for The Skywriter (not included in sale).

Nib:
Medium - The "flexible" iridium tip nib has clear imprints, and ample tipping material, there is some wear and light pitting. What the nib lacks aesthetically, it makes up for with a nice writing experience. The nib produced a nice, springy, medium line during its ink test - a nice daily writer.
